hit3dhit3d is a parallel code that I've developed with Misha Stepanov (U of Arizona) and Natalia Vladimirova (U of Chicago) while working at Los Alamos in 2005-2008. The code simulates incompressible homogeneous isotropic turbulence in a 3D-periodic box. Options include arbitrary number of passive scalars and/or Lagrangian particles. The particles can be advected by either fully resolved or locally averaged velocity field. The code employs OpenMPI implementation of Message-Passing Interface (MPI) and FFTW3 implementation of Fast Fourier Transform routines. Both OpenMPI and FFTW3 are available freely along with the installation instructions from their respective websites: The code is available from GitHub under the terms of GNU General Public License v3. |
